In the heart of the Old West lies Gonzales, TX, a relic of Texan history and a small community perfect for ranching. With land for sale so close to major rivers, as well as streams and creeks, Gonzales is a departure from the stereotypical Texas landscape of open desert and tumbleweeds. Learn how you could be the proud owner of a piece of authentic Texas ranch land.

About Gonzales, TX

Gonzales, TX, is in the southeastern region of the state, close by where the San Marcos River and Guadalupe River meet. One of the earliest Anglo-American settlements in Texas, Gonzales was abandoned in 1826 due to Native American attacks.

The city is best known as being the first site to fight in the Texas Revolution. Texans refused to return a cannon the Mexican government had given the settlers to protect against Native Americans.

Today, Gonzales is home to over 7,000 residents. The small town is a charming change from cities with an hour to an hour and a half of the town, such as Victoria, Austin and San Antonio. The Gonzales Historic District is just as it was during the Texan Revolution. The Gonzales Lake is a reservoir that provides the arid area with extra water.
